Video Transcription
Hello, this is Jorge with SB Evolution Landscape providing you with all of your landscaping needs in Santa Barbara. So, take a look at this project we did over year ago. And, as you can see, this prime of Madera there in bloom this is the time of year. Just take a look at that . So, we did a succulent Mexico variety theme for this front yard. It’s a corner house, so, there’s a lot of space and we’re gonna, I’m gonna walk you through and we use Californid Gold gravel 3/4 inch and we use some rocks. Mexican onyx there and thereanothee one right there and I’m gonna walk you through so you can see. Take a look and I meant it just looks amazing.
I just talking my clients right here a few minutes ago. And I always cut through this street, just so, so I can see her plants and it’s just really a good sight to see every time you drive by, I mean, let’s me especially in full blum. Just take at the bright color on that, look at this, whole front yard was a mess I’ll provide, I think we have a before, I know we have a during picture, what it look like. But we strategically left some agaves that we’re already here, we may have a transplanted some of these, but you see, there’s a window there. So, one of the concerns for this clients is, you know, security and privacy. So, how about some agaves with thorns, so, anybody who tries to get through that window, you better watch out.
All right, let’s keep walking around. All right, here’s a different view, look at that. All right, we keep walking around, look at this cute little dog sign there. See that? “Please, curb your dog”. Yeah, we don’t want dog poop here. Anyways, look atthat, here’s another view. As you see, we did a goblets along the edge to, see here, you see this agaves, the thorny type, so it will prevent dogs from creeping in. You know, at least, people from trying to like walk over their landscape, so it’s more of defense security there, try prevent people and dogs from going through.
Here’s a different view, look at that. That’s some palm trees. I keep walking you around, you know, that’s a big one, that’s a big one. We use, I mean, dozens of different types of succulents, we used the mixed variety. So, there’s, you know, when the client can walk around her property, her front yard, she can from the window see each plant has its unique feel and texture. So, you can take your time and just to really get in all information from all the plants – the color, the style, the feel. I mean, you could spend a lovely afternoon, just watching the plants, watching the bees, watching the butterflies, the hummingbirds, the whole deal.
– Hello, Berta, I’m taking a video.
– Hello, Jorge.
Take a look here, you see, here we did like a flagstone, sort of patio here, there used to be all along here. And gophers used to go crazy everywhere, so we made sure that we the landscape fabric underneath. Gopher wire wasn’t necessary, because these succulents the gopher tend to not chew or eat the roots. As you can see, most of them, not all plants, this is not succulent, but the prime of Madera, this one we caught the gopher way too late, so it’s done some grave damage to the root system. That’s why it’s not doing very well. As you can see, it’s starting to come back, the little blooms there. That one was plant at the same time, as that one, but, yep, the gophers did that, you can see the disturbed dirt right there.
Keep walking you around. So, I picked these plants here specifically, because these are all, they all attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees and we just want to have a different feel above. So, from her window, from there, you can see the little doggies barking from the window, she can relax, sit there and just enjoy her view, watch TV and she has a view to her front yard and she could see all the insects, butterflies, birds, just enjoy the peaceful afternoon or morning, just really calm down. You know, this really relieve stress, it’s a meditation.
And this is was her idea to get a Buddha. That’s a Buddha, she loved that, so we placed it right here, so she can see it from her kitchen window, she spend a lot of time in the kitchen and she said, she wants a Buddha, she want something, she could look at and she picked this Buddha. And what we did here, is we use succulents all the way around and we use this nice neat, look at this, this rock almost looked like a crystal type color, but it has unique look and use a blend, like a dark blue and a light blue. And she loves it. And her windows right here, her kitchen window there. And it’s just a really nice sight to see, you know, it’s definitely an investment, but it’s investment for her future, for her health, for everyone. I mean, it’s just makes people smile, that’s why I enjoy, enjoy my job, I enjoy what I do, I’m always improving, I’m always learning, I’m always taking feedback and taking action and just getting the job done. Each and every client has a different perspective, a different view of how they enjoy things, how they like things and I try my best to mimic and exactly pinpoint, exactly to what they want and we get it done into the very small detail. So, we are very patient, but we are very detail-oriented, because that’s what our customers want and that’s what we’re here for. We’re here for quality. All right, have a beautiful day, thank you.
